RenjaRacing I
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
Welcome to RenjaRacingI. This is a retro racing game similar to the SNES Super Mario Kart. It's a mix of 2D billboard sprites and a 3D world.
Race in 2 different maps against 5 other players (bots only at the moment). There are 10 unique characters to choose and play with. Power-ups and coins are available during the races.
Controls:
- W = Accelerate
- S = Decelerate
- A = Steer Left
- D = Steer Right
- Space bar = the brake
- E = the ability button (use this for the banana power-up)
Mobile controls are in the instructions menu.

Install instructions
PC INSTALLATION:
- Download the .zip file
- Extract the file in an empty folder
- !! Keep the .pck file in the same folder as the .exe file!!
- Run the executable
ANDROID INSTALLATION:
- Be sure that you have an app that can extract .rar files on mobile. I suggest RAR on Google Playstore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar&hl=en_ZA&gl=US)
- Extract "RenjaracingMobile.rar" using that extractor App.
- Enjoy the game
For RAR users:
- Open the RAR app.
- Go to the location where you download "RenjaracingMobile.rar"and tap on it
- You will see 2 items: Renjaracing1.apk and Renjaracing1.apk.idsig
- SELECT Renjaracing1.apk
- After you tap it, a message might pop-up telling you that the app might be hamrful. Don't worry about this. Most APKs that you find outside of Google Playstore will show this message. Just continue with the process and don't cancel.
- After the app is staged, tap install.
- If you see a message saying the app is blocked by Play protect, tap on install anyway.
- If you see a pop-up asking to send app for scanning, tap on don't send
- After that, Open the app and enjoy :
Apologies for this lengthy process. I accidentally uploaded the compressed .rar file instead of the actual APK itself. I'll change this when the jam is finished.

Honestly it is slow and dull
thanks for the feedback. Could you explain the dull part? Do you mean gameplay is dull or the art is dull?
Gameplay is dull the other racers are no challenge and you drive very slow. The art is acceptable (i like the pepe frog)
V-max 20? This is a joke?
what's a V-max 20?
If you're referring to V as in velocity or speed, then no. You can go past 20 km/h (in-game units). The highest I've reached was about 26 km/h.
So, I just finished playing this. I'm a big fan of 2.5D games. It's one of my most favorite aesthetics for games, so I enjoyed cruising through this. My one big issue would be the AI racers. I was able to blow them out of the water quite easily. I even lapped them twice. Besides that, I felt everything worked as it should. Collecting the coins and soda was a nice touch, and the sounds were enjoyable. Overall, I had fun. Thanks for the experience. :)
